Juice Fasting A Perfect Diet For Weight Loss
Juice Fasting Day 5 marks the end of phase I of this dieting where solid veggies and fruits are allowed. Over the next 5 days, the goal is to have nothing but pure juices, and no solids, and then end with another 5 days where solid fruits and veggies are introduced back. The outcomes of the Juice Fasting Day 5.
Today I felt a relatively higher level of energy and what I think helped were the 2 bowls of lentils soup and salad that I had. They made my hunger go away.
Juice Cleanse And Hunger Control
I am a bit concerned about the next 5-days of pure juicing: what will make my hunger go away? I’ve watched a few youtube videos of folks who have gone on juice fasting and they all consistently reported the first few days to be the toughest and then actually enjoying the remaining days. I look forward to that indeed.
As for my friend Lino who’s fasting with me, it looks like he fell for an Afghan Food temptation yesterday as he was invited to a friend’s birthday. I don’t blame him, I would have probably done the same thing for Afghan Food, especially if it’s Kababs and Qabali Pallow! In fact, I am invited to a friend’s wedding this Sunday and I’m not sure how I’m going to pull it through. Will I sneak in my jug of mean-green juice and sip it slowly as others enjoy designer meals? I have to!
A Less Extreme Dieting
For those who want to get a health boost but think this diet is extreme, you can do like my friend Derrick Jones of Presidents, Pilots and Entrepreneurs did. Derrick is the one who introduced me to the documentary that triggered all this fasting. However he took things a bit easier. Instead of going on a radical all-juicing diet, he simply introduced fresh organic juicing into his daily meals. He drinks 2-3 cups of mean green juices a day and eats plenty of healthy nuts and soups. He has also reduced his intake of red meat to once a week. Over a period of 2 months he has reported improved overall sense of well being, improved energy levels, healthy weight loss and a reduced craving for coffee.
Day Summary
This morning I weighed 230.4 lbs, a good 1.6 lbs drop from yesterday. Today I had 2 cups of mean green, 2 cups of orange juice, plenty of water, 2 espressos, 1 peach, 1 banana, 2 bowls of lentils soup, and 1 salad from Chipotle. This seems like a lot. Are you like me wondering how much I’ll weigh tomorrow morning? 🙂 We’ll see… Now on to the report from our friend Lino (Lee).
Lino’s Day 5 Summary
Morning Weight: 236 lbs
Foods Consumed: 5 cups of juice made with kale, chard, parsley, cucumbers, carrots, Apples, plenty of water. One tea(my morning tea).
Allergies/Medical Condition: High BP 132/97 Not so Good but not really that bad
Notes: I fell off the wagon, a friend had a birthday and they had Afghan food which I was NOT able to resist yesterday. I am back on and holding on strong, I think I need to start running as it always make me feel better. If I can see 215 by the end of the 15 days I will be happy, and how I feel is most important to me.
